Hargraves Insurance Agency, Inc. has been in operation since January 1, 1926, and is the oldest insurance agency in Eastern Arkansas. Three generations of the Hargraves Family have operated the business, and it is currently owned by Bev T. Hargraves.

Bev T. Hargraves graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1974 with a degree in General Business, and a minor in Finance. He began his business career with The Hartford Insurance Group in Hartford, Connecticut, and was transferred to the regional office in Dallas, Texas. He was hired by IBM in 1976 as a Financial Analyst and moved back to Helena to enter the family insurance business in 1978. His insurance training includes completion of the Career Development Program with The Hartford, completion of INS 21, 22 and 23(graduate work in insurance), completion of the Certified Insurance Counselor Designation, and the completion of 9 of 10 parts of the CPCU Designation. He handles all facets of the insurance business, including commercial lines, personal lines, as well as life and health insurance.
